Our History
Amalgamated Metals Trading has been a leader in metal derivatives trading for over 100 years. Formed in 1975 through the consolidation of four London Metal Exchange (LME) ring trading companies, AMT traces its roots back to the founding members of the LME, established in 1877.
Throughout our history, we have consistently traded base metals on the LME. In recent years, we have expanded our brokerage services to include ferrous and precious metals, serving clients worldwide from our offices in London, Shanghai, and Singapore.
AMT is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Amalgamated Metal Corporation PLC (AMC). The AMC Group is a global supplier, producer, and distributor of raw materials and intermediate products, specialising in base metals, steel, and construction materials for a wide range of applications.
