Pioneering Ferrous METAL Hedging Solutions

AMT delivers pioneering hedging solutions for ferrous metals prices via derivatives traded on the LME. This service is tailored to industry participants of all sizes across the global supply chain looking to hedge their price risk for scrap, semi-finished long products such as rebar and regional flat-rolled Hot Rolled Coil (HRC). We are also working to provide access to steel products traded on COMEX in the near future.

Ferrous Derivative Pioneers

AMT plays a leading public role in preparing market participants for the growing adoption of ferrous metals futures by the steel industry. We are well-positioned to help our clients develop a robust practical understanding of the theory and mechanics of steel and scrap hedging when using monthly cash-settled futures.

Contract Structure

We offer risk management of a suite of ferrous products across multiple currencies through monthly cash settled futures. This means there is no physical delivery and open futures positions are settled against monthly average index prices as published by Price Reporting Agencies (PRAs).

Practical Expertise

Our ferrous trading desk is staffed by dedicated personnel with direct market experience trading, researching and pioneering the product development of ferrous metal futures contracts across multiple global exchanges. AMT is also an active member of the LME Steel Committee, directly supporting the initial development and launch of ferrous contracts on the LME.
